On motion, Lemuel Higby was appointed collector for 1839
On motion, Resolved that the tax for 1839 shall be twenty-five cents on every hundred
dollars of real estate assessed in the town of Springfield; and that the collector proceed immediately to the collection of said tax.
On motion, Resolved, That the clerk of the Board be authorised to pay over to J. Kleine the monies of the corporation in his hands.
On motion, Resolved, That Messrs. Kleine and Latham be a committee to ascertain whether Joel Johnson has removed the nuisances of which complaint has been made, and in case they are
removed, to direct the town constable to return the execution satisfied,—said Johnson paying costs.
