The committee appointed on certain petitions at the last meeting of the Board, reported that the petition in favor of granting licenses to sell liquors, so far as they had ascertained, had subscribed to it the names of 281 legal voters, of the town of Springfield; and that the petition opposed to granting licenses had on it the names of 269 legal voters of said town.

On motion,
Resolved, That licenses be granted to all applicants to keep groceries within the town of Springfield, for the period of two months upon such applicants paying the sum of fifty dollars each and entering into bonds.
