Hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby remise release and forever quit claim to Josephus Hewett and Edward D. Baker all my right and title to Lot Numbered six (6) in Block Numbered one (1) in the Town of Springfield in the County and State aforesaid.
“In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven.”
