Hopkins, Hayes, Palmer & Company was a dry goods firm in New York City. Richard Hilliard, Sr. was a partner in Hilliard, Hayes, Hopkins and Company of New York City and Hilliard, Hayes, and Company of Cleveland, Ohio. Upon Hilliard's death in December 1856, surviving partners Richard H. Hopkins, William H. Hayes, and Richard Hilliard, Jr. dissolved these firms in February 1857, merged their operations and, with Richard S. Palmer, formed the partnership of Hopkins, Hayes, Palmer and Company. The company operated out of an office on Cortlandt Street in lower Manhattan.
