Inslee, Joseph

In 1818, Inslee and his wife settled a few miles south of Springfield, Illinois, where Inslee established himself as a blacksmith and farmer. In 1832, Inslee served as sergeant in the Fourth Regiment, Third Brigade of Illinois Mounted Volunteers serving in the Black Hawk War. In 1850, Inslee owned $2,800 worth of real estate.
