Nagle, Patrick J.

Patrick John Nagle was a farm laborer and a Catholic. He lived in New York and Massachusetts prior to relocating to Illinois sometime either before or during 1856. While living in Massachusetts, he married fellow Ireland native Catharine Welsh in Boston. The couple eventually had at least six children together. In February 1857, Nagle purchased forty acres of public land in Woodford County, Illinois for $10.05 per acre. In 1860, he was living in Minonk Township in Woodford County with his family and owned $250 in personal property.
