Garrit H. Striker, Jr. was an attorney and public servant. In 1848, he served as commissioner of deeds for New York City. In 1851, he joined the firm Sandford, Porter & Striker in partnership with Edward Sandford, James S. Sandford, and Mortimer Porter. He died without ever having married.
