Weber moved to Springfield, Illinois, in 1837. In November 1837, he married Louvania Adams, daughter of General James Adams. Weber and his new wife moved to LaSalle, Illinois, and Louvania died soon thereafter during a visit to Springfield. In 1842, Weber married Sarah B. Elliott. Weber moved to St. Louis around 1850, and then to New Orleans, where he died after contracting yellow fever.
