2The letter to Bohannon has not been located. The money referenced probably represented at least a partial collection of the notes against Allen & Stone and Josiah Francis. Thomas Bohannan & Co. had hired Stuart & Lincoln to collect debts from Allen & Stone and Francis, debtors of Bohannan & Co.
