Your letter of the 13th April inst. making enquiries as to the claim for 3 months extra pay due Jno. J. Miller Private K Company 6th Infantry,2 addressed to the Pay Master General has been refered to me. In reply I state that the claim was paid to you, in person, at my office, ^in cash,^ on the 20th of January last; & your receipt annexed to the claim accordingly.
