In September 1849, Sidney Darrow married Elinora Forest, but she most likely died sometime in 1850. In June 1851, he married Eliza A. Briggs, with whom he had at least eight children. He served as alderman of the First Ward of La Salle, Illinois in both 1854 and 1855. He died sometime before 1900.
