Durham, Edward H.
Born: 1820 Maryland
Flourished: 1841 to 1863 Illinois
Edward R. Durham acquired at least 250 acres of land in Tazewell and Woodford counties between 1841 and 1850. In the latter year, Durham was a farmer living in the household of John Durham in Tazewell County. He served as a township supervisor in that county in 1852 and again from 1854 through 1855. In 1860 was employed as an upholsterer and was living in John Durham’s household in Peoria. Three years later he held the office of collector. Durham registered for the draft in Fifth Congressional District in 1863, but there is no further evidence that he served in the Civil War.
