Fisher, Alexander

At the age of twenty-five, Fisher moved with his parents and twelve siblings from Franklin County, Pennsylvania to Sangamon County, Illinois. In 1847, he married Elizabeth Hershey, and they settled in Wabash County, where Fisher was a farmer. Elizabeth died in 1853, and Fisher re-married the following year in Sangamon County to Ann Elizabeth Field. They settled in Williamsville, where Elizabeth died in 1858. The following year, Fisher re-married to Permelia Skinner and opened a general store in Williamsville. By 1865, he resided in Mt. Pulaski, where he was elected Judge of the Logan County Circuit Court.
