Levering, Septimus

Levering lived in Sangamon County from at least 1836 to 1842. In 1840, he lived in Springfield and was engaged in commerce. He married Euphenia A. Barnes in 1845 in Pike County, and by 1850 they resided in St. Louis, where Septimus was a wholesale grocer. By 1870, Levering was a real estate agent with a personal estate valued at $100,000.
