McCoy, Joseph

McCoy moved to Sangamon County, Illinois, in 1821. He fought in the Black Hawk War in two of Abraham Lincoln's companies. He never married and lived with his nephew, Isaiah T., in Lincoln. In 1860, McCoy was working as a farmer and owned $500 in real estate.
