Sec[Section] 1 Be it Enacted by the People of the State of Illinois Represented in the General assembly
That the Commissioners appointed by an act Entitled “an act to locate a State Road
therin named” approved 27th
Februy 1839, to locate a State road in the Counties of Franklin, Jefferson, and Wayne be and they are hereby allowed until the first Monday in September next to perform
the duties required of them by said act.
Sec 2 Said Commissioners may (if they are of opinion that the public good, will be best
promoted thereby) commence said review either at the Town of Benton, or Frankfort, in Franklin County.
Sec 3 The Commissioners appointed at the last session of the Legislature by an act approved 2nd March 1839 to locate a state road from McLeansboro to Mount Vernon may (if they are of opinion the public good will be as well promoted thereby) locate
said road, so as to intersect the Mount Vernon and Equality road, at the South East End of Barton Atchison[’]s lane and power is hereby given to them for that purpose.
