Gentlemen
The undersigned Citizens of the state of Ohio would most respectfully make known to you that a new mail route is necessary between the following points, to wit: Beginning at Uppersandusky in Wyandott County, by Williamstown in Hancock County, thence to section Ten in Vanwert County. Your Petitioners pray you Honors to establish, by law a Mail route between the points above named and your Petitioners will ever pray &c August 25th 1847
