Allegheny Mountains

Known informally as the Alleghenies, the Allegheny Mountains are part of the vast Appalachian system of the Eastern United States and Canada. Sitting west of and generally parallel with the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Alleghenies run through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia.
