Huldah B. Stout was the wife of Ebenezer Stout, daughter of Charles Briggs, and granddaughter of Richard and Huldah R. Briggs. Born Huldah Briggs, she married Ebenezer Stout in April 1843 in Fayette County, Illinois. The couple resided in Fayette County until 1847, when they moved to Springfield and Ebenezer opened a family grocery business. In the 1850s, Huldah and her husband moved to Bloomington, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
